iD ArtCade was the centerpiece of the launch of iD Gum by Stride. Scan the unique artwork on each pack with your webcam or mobile device to unlock each of the 18 games in the arcade. From "Censored Sensei" to "Electrocutesy" each game looks and feels different.
Log in with your Facebook account to sync your profile across devices. Compete with your friends, climb leaderboards, unlock achievements, and track your progress toward conquering the ArtCade. Scan multiple packs to unlock combos which add cool features to each game.
This project required a coordinated effort among three production partners to concept, design, develop and integrate 18 games into a single "hub" that was to be deployed across three platforms. Using five core game engines and three loose variations each paired with 15 designers meant that all 18 games felt unique and not like two games re-skinned nine times. The games also needed to be simple enough to be playable and balanced on desktop and mobile devices alike. Our goal with the hub was to give users a very social, rich experience. We wanted people to be able to see when they beat a friends score, challenge a friend to play a game, or even give games as gifts in case a friend had not unlocked that game yet.
